The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) is a multidisciplinary learned society that brings together organisations and individuals with a common interest in underwater technology, ocean science and offshore engineering. SUT was founded in 1966 and has members from around 40 countries, including engineers, scientists, other professionals and students working in these areas. 



UKNEST is a forum that promotes the Engineering, Science and Technology interests of UK Naval Defence. The forum is focused on topics that are important across the Ministry of Defence (Royal Navy, Defence Equipment & Support and the Defence Science & Technology Laboratories) and UK Industry. Topics of interest include the sustainability of the work-force, research & development to underpin future naval capabilities and a focal point for engagement with Government initiatives.


Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)

Throughout the constantly evolving work of mechanical engineers, one institution has been at the heart of the world’s most important and dynamic industries since its formation in 1847. Today, working hard to support our 120,000 members across 140 countries, the Institution is the market leader among professional engineering bodies.

The Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI)

KIVI is the professional organisation for engineers in the Netherlands.  With 20,000 members KIVI is the largest engineering society in the Netherlands. KIVI offers its members discipline based communities, a platform for addressing societal challenges and the ability to profile and give direction to one's career.  KIVI provides professional services to its members and organizes a large number of activities throughout the year.  KIVI also provides services to engineers from abroad who work or study in the Netherlands.



Naval Forces is the world's leading international bi-monthly periodical specialising in matters concerning naval warfare and technology defence at sea in the English language with up to six special issues per year on navies, shipyards and naval organisations. Among the magazine's unique specialities are "close-ups" on certain selected themes, such as specific technological areas, the activities of relevant elements of the international shipbuilding industry, special issues on individual navies and authorities. NAVAL FORCES has a circulation per issue of more than 15,000 copies, plus bonus distribution at major naval and tri-service exhibitions/conferences.
